About me

I was born in Rochdale, Lancashire, UK.  At the age of 19, I had a supernatural experience that caused me to believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that God was real and He sent His Son to die in my place so I can truly live.  From there my faith journey began.  I was invited to the home of Jim Sweet a man in his 80’s who had led a bible study in his house for many years.

When I arrived the group that gathered (all in the 70’s and 80’s) were half-way through the Book of Revelation.. a book foretelling all that is to come in the latter days.  I have always to this day had a very keen interest in all things eschatological (Eschatology is a part of theology concerned with the final events of history, or the ultimate destiny of humanity).

Something was missing?

When first I came to believe in God I had dreams of being a missionary, of serving God full time and following in the footsteps of missionary legends I had read about.  I longed to reach out to the lost and needy and for my life to have true purpose and meaning.

Over time my life followed the usual pattern: marriage, children, mortgage, job.  I identified myself as a Christian.  But I always felt something was missing.  Over the years I have belonged to several churches.  I have witnessed many structures, sizes and cultures within the church world.  I have committed to church attendance and served on teams.  And yet? I’ve been left with a niggling feeling that something’s missing.

Get back to His teachings

Feeling a growing sense of dissatisfaction with church culture, in early 2018 I felt compelled to study the true Words of Jesus and what I found was hidden treasure.  I was awoken at midnight every night for over two weeks.  With pad and pen I started to write out every command, promise, warning and statement of Jesus.  I would stay awake writing for several hours, fall asleep, wake up at 6:00 am and get on with the day.  From that came the book ‘What on earth have we done with the teachings of Jesus?’ explaining why we need to get back to His teachings.

I realise now that Jesus had been missing from my life.  Studying His Words starting changing me: the way I think, the way I speak, the way I act.  If had taken a serious study of His Words long ago I would have avoided many mistakes and errors of judgment.  He said in John 10:10 ‘The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.’

Life more abundant

My mission is to bring all into a deeper intimacy with Christ that they may have life more abundantly.  I would love to hear from you and hear your story, please contact me to share your story or if you have a prayer request please send it in and we will pray for you.

May He bless you in your search for Him.
